Product Details

This 16-ounce pint, regular-mouth glass canning jar includes a silver metal lid and band and is sold 12 per case. The smooth-sided, round glass body provides a clean presentation and a flat surface for labels or decoration. The jar is BPA-free and can be cleaned in the dishwasher between uses.

Lid Prep & Sealing

To prepare lids for sealing, place lids in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a simmer (about one hundred eighty degrees Fahrenheit, eighty degrees Celsius) for ten minutes to activate the sealing compound. After processing and cooling, lids that have formed a vacuum seal should not be reused to create a new vacuum seal; they may be used as temporary covers for short-term storage. Handwash bands to reduce the risk of rust.
